Favorite People of Summer

Dear Students and Parents,
We often remember summer break as a time to vacation and see new things, but even more important and memorable are the PEOPLE we visit.
Make a blog entry of the people you were able to visit this summer whom you don't usually get to see. Did you spend weeks with your father? Did you all visit Grandpa and Grandma in another state? Did family come to your house?
Summer is also a great time just to catch up with friends. What did you and a friend do special right here at home?
I'm looking forward to reading these stories.

Summer "Do List" for parents

Here are some very special tips for parents over the summer break
  • Provide some structure to the summer by keeping some school year rules in place
  • Even though it's later, stick to a bed time
  • Same goes for a wake up time
  • Keep chores assigned
  • Have extra project jobs for extra cash or rewards
  • Get a library card
  • VERY IMPORTANT-- If you are thinking about taking your child off medication for the summer, you must discuss the idea with your health provider. Most medications must be slowly stopped over a period of time.
